How Can AI Effect Recruiting?

The Impact AI Has on Recruiting and Hiring
AI Can Reduce The Time Spent Hiring Someone
With AI, a lot of the interview scheduling and application process can be automated, and CVs can be screened for keywords and skills. Instead of a recruiter spending a lot of time entering data into an ATS and looking at various CVs, AI technology can take over. This gives a recruiter more time to engage with candidates and improve their hiring experience.
AI Can Help to Find the Right Candidate
One of the biggest challenges recruiters face is finding the right candidate among a large talent pool, but AI can help. Using AI, it’s possible to search through the talent tool and find the candidates that have what a recruiter is looking for. It does this by looking for keywords, skills and information within CVs. AI can do this a lot quicker than a recruiter can, cutting down the time spent finding talent. Over time, AI begins to ‘learn’ what a recruiter is looking for and this helps to improve results.
AI technology is especially helpful when it comes to searching through passive candidates. There are a large number of passive candidates out there, none of which are actively looking for a role, and so looking for the right person can be hugely time consuming for a recruiter. With AI, searching through all of the passive candidates becomes a lot easier, as AI technology can narrow down the potential options. Instead of having a lot of passive candidates, which can take weeks, recruiters can see talent that meets the search criteria in seconds.
Why Recruiters and AI Must Work Together
As you can see, AI can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process, but it does require recruiters and artificial intelligence to work together. Recently, recruiting processes and functions have evolved in a big way, and AI has played a big part in this. However, it cannot be used alone. This could result in data that is not useful, as there is no human to ensure the candidates are right in regards to company culture and personality. In order for AI to improve the recruitment processes, it needs to work alongside recruiters.
